Sweden never adopted the euro. This piece is a fantasy or novelty issue — no "2 Europ" denomination was ever struck by the Swedish Riksbank or authorized by any Swedish monetary authority. Sweden held a referendum on euro adoption in September 2003; 56% voted against. The country remains outside the eurozone and retains the krona.
