附加信息

The yellow star motif on this coin references the compulsory badge Jews were forced to wear under Nazi occupation in the Netherlands — one of the starkest such symbols ever incorporated into a Dutch commemorative issue. The Hague was the site of the wartime Binnenhof government complex used by the German occupiers, and the city lost a disproportionately high share of its Jewish population during the deportations of 1942–1944. Colored collector versions of eurozone commemoratives are produced outside standard mint specifications and carry no legal tender obligation in practice, though they remain technically valid.
