| Obverse description | The national side depicts, in the left portion of the inner core, a striding marathon runner in profile, with the right portion featuring an architectural detail of the Gothic tower of St. Elizabeth's Cathedral in Košice. The curved legend 'KOŠICKÝ MARATÓN' arcs along the upper rim of the inner core. Across the lower field, the country name 'SLOVENSKO' appears above the dual dates '1924' and '2024', commemorating the centenary of the inaugural race. To the lower left, the Kremnica Mint mark 'MK' flanked by two dies is positioned adjacent to the stylised monogram 'LR', denoting designer Roman Lugár. The surrounding outer ring carries the twelve stars of the European Union in relief. |

Twelve stars of the European Union are arranged along the right arc of the outer ring, divided into two groups of six above and below the map.
