| 背面描述 | A waving European Union flag bearing twelve five-pointed stars and a prominent Euro symbol (€) in the centre occupies the main field, evoking the introduction of the Euro currency. The inscription '19 SEPTEMBRE' runs vertically along the left rim and '5 OCTOBRE 1997' along the right rim, denoting the dates of the local Euro trial event. The legend 'DE DOMONT' is inscribed along the lower exergual area. |

Domont, a commune in Val-d'Oise north of Paris, issued this piece during the brief French local currency experiment of the late 1990s, when dozens of municipalities and commercial associations produced franc-denominated or notional "euro" tokens ahead of the single currency's 1999 introduction. These civic issues had no legal tender status and functioned as promotional or commercial exchange tokens — typically redeemable at participating local businesses. Domont's issue predates the official euro coinage by five years.
