| Reverse description | The standard European Union reverse for the 2-euro denomination features a large bold numeral '2' occupying the left portion of the inner disc, superimposed over a relief map of the European continent showing Western and Central Europe without national borders. The legend EURO appears to the right of the numeral. Twelve five-pointed stars of the European Union are arranged around the outer ring, with six stars in the upper arc and six in the lower arc; six vertical milled reeds in the bimetallic join connect the two star groups. The outer ring is struck in copper-nickel. |
