Reverse description The large numeral 2 dominates the left portion of the field, accompanied by the denomination indicator CT to its right, in a style reminiscent of standard euro cent coinage. A miniature relief map of the Guadeloupe archipelago, including its constituent islands, is depicted centrally within a background of diagonal lines evoking the standard euro cent design. The curved legend PROBE TRIAL ESSAI appears along the upper right periphery, and the inscription LES ANTILLES is placed along the lower field, identifying the broader regional context.

Additional information

Guadeloupe, as a French overseas department, never had authority to produce its own euro coinage — French territory uses centrally issued French euros. This 2005 piece is a fantasy or pattern strike, produced outside any official monetary framework, almost certainly by a private mint exploiting collector demand for "what might have been" issues from territories that lack their own coinage.

No legal tender status was ever assigned. Buy accordingly.
