| Obverse description | Central design features a right-facing effigy of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, depicted with an elaborate feathered hair ornament, set within a raised equilateral triangle occupying the central field. Twelve six-pointed stars encircle the triangle along the inner border, evoking the European coinage tradition. The legend NEDERLANDSE ANTILLEN arcs around the upper periphery, while the commemorative inscription AUTONOOM 1954-2004 appears along the lower segment, referencing the fiftieth anniversary of the autonomous status of the Netherlands Antilles. A small mint mark device is visible to the lower right of the triangle. |
