| Obverse description | The obverse features a bold relief depiction of Kriváň, the iconic peak of the High Tatras and a powerful national symbol of Slovakia, rendered in a stylised yet naturalistic manner occupying the upper portion of the field. Encircling the design are twelve five-pointed stars representing the European Union, arranged along the inner border. The legend SLOVENSKO, the Slovak name for the country, is inscribed horizontally across the lower central field, with the date of issue and the mint mark of the Kremnica Mint (MK monogram) and the engraver's initial Z appearing below. The small Slovak national coat of arms — a shield bearing a double cross on three hills — is struck beneath the date, further reinforcing national identity. |
