Reverse description	The common European reverse, designed by Luc Luycx, displays the large numeral 2 in the left portion of the field, rendered in a bold, stylised typeface. To the right, a globe centred on Europe and Africa is depicted with meridian and parallel lines, symbolising the interconnectedness of the European Union with the wider world. The inscription EURO CENT appears in two lines to the upper right of the globe. Six five-pointed stars are arranged in an arc along the lower left rim, with a further six stars and lines radiating diagonally from the globe toward the upper right rim, completing the standard EU coinage design.
