| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse features a stylised silhouette map of Estonia rendered in the centre field, with the date of issue inscribed in the upper field and the country name EESTI in the lower field. Twelve five-pointed stars encircle the design along the inner rim, symbolising the member states of the European Union. The design was engraved by L. Lõhmus and presents a clean, modern artistic style characteristic of contemporary Estonian coinage. |

Estonia joined the eurozone on 1 January 2011, making this the first regular-issue 2 euro coin struck for the country. The "2nd map" designation refers to the updated EU outline introduced across all eurozone states in 2008, replacing the original reverse that omitted Cyprus and Malta — an oversight corrected after both countries acceded in 2004.
