| Obverse description | Draped bust of King Fernando VI facing right, wearing a period court costume with visible lace cravat and armor, his hair rendered in a flowing curled wig typical of mid-18th century Bourbon portraiture. The effigy occupies the majority of the coin's field and is executed in relatively high relief for a hammered issue. The surrounding legend reads FERDINAND VI D G HISPAN ET IND REX, divided around the periphery, with the date 1760 appearing in the lower exergual area. A beaded border runs along the coin's irregular rim. |
