| Obverse description | Armored and draped bust of King Philip V facing right, wearing a voluminous curled allonge wig rendered in elaborate baroque detail. The effigy occupies the central field, with the date 1741 inscribed at the base of the bust between two rosette stops. The circular Latin legend reads PHILIP·V·D·G·HISPAN·ET·IND·REX, proclaiming the king's divine right as monarch of Spain and the Indies.
