| Reverse description | Central device consists of an interlaced crowned monogram formed by two large Cs facing one another, enclosing a cross pattée at center, all executed in bold relief with trefoil or rosette ornaments filling the angles of the cross. The surrounding legend in Latin reads HISPANIARUM REX, with the mint mark S (Seville), assayer initial J, denomination numeral 2, and date 1721 disposed around the periphery and separated by small rosette stops. The overall design follows the standard milled coinage style introduced under the Bourbon reform coinage. |
