Reverse description Crowned quartered shield of the Spanish royal arms at center, displaying the castles of Castile, lions of León, fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty, and the pomegranate of Granada, with the arms of Anjou on an escutcheon at the base. The denomination numeral 2 appears to the left of the shield and the assayer monogram S (for escudos) to the right. The circumferential legend AUSPICE DEO IN UTROQ FELIX encircles the design, separated by bullet stops, with the Lima mint mark and assayers' initials IJ flanking the base of the shield. A toothed border frames the entire design.
