| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of King Charles IV facing right, rendered in high relief with fine detailing on the royal robes and collar. The effigy displays the king in regal military dress with ornate epaulettes and decorative drapery. The encircling Latin legend reads CAROL IIII D G HISP ET IND R, denoting his title as King of Spain and the Indies by the grace of God. The date 1791 appears prominently in the lower exergual area, flanked by decorative dots. A fine toothed border frames the entire composition. |
