Obverse description Draped bust of King Carlos IV facing right, depicted in the style inherited from the Carlos III portrait type, with powdered wig and court attire. The circular legend reads CAROL·IV·D·G·HISP·ET·IND·R·, denoting his title as King of Spain and the Indies by the Grace of God. The date appears in the exergue at the base of the bust. The effigy is rendered in high relief against a flat field, framed by a fine milled border.
