Reverse description The quartered royal arms of Spain displayed on a baroque shield at center, surmounted by the royal crown and encircled by the collar and chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece, with the pendant fleece visible at the base. The shield quarters bear the castles of Castile, the lions of León, the pales of Aragon, and the chain of Navarre, with a central escutcheon bearing the fleurs-de-lis of the Bourbon dynasty. The denomination numeral '2' appears to the left of the shield and the mint assayer initials to the right. The surrounding Latin legend IN·UTROQ·FELIX·AUSPICE·DEO, meaning 'Happy in both, under God's auspices,' encircles the design, separated by pellet stops. The overall composition reflects the standard Bourbon-era heraldic type used throughout the reign of Carlos IV.
