Obverse description Draped bust of King Charles III facing right, rendered in the older portrait style, occupying the central field. The peripheral legend reads CAROL III D G HISP ET IND R, separated by pellets, with the date appearing in the lower exergual area. The bust is armored and features a tied cravat at the neck, characteristic of the late colonial Lima Mint coinage. The coin is bordered by a milled or reeded rim.
