Reverse description The crowned quartered arms of Castile and León are displayed at center, encircled by the chain of the Order of the Golden Fleece, with the denomination numeral 2 visible to the left of the shield and the assayer's monogram MI to the right. The Lima mint monogram appears at the base of the design beneath the shield. The surrounding Latin legend IN UTROQ FELIX AUSPICE DEO is separated by the mint name LIMAE. The overall design reflects the standard heraldic style employed across Spanish colonial mints of the late eighteenth century.
