| Obverse description | Draped bust of King Carlos III facing right, portrayed in a stylized, somewhat archaic manner typical of early Lima Mint coinage. The effigy shows the king with curled wig and regal attire. The surrounding legend reads CAROLUS III D G HISPAN ET IND REX, with the date appearing in the lower portion of the field. The portrait is rendered in moderately high relief against a flat field. |
