| Obverse description | The Chilean national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a quartered shield bearing a five-pointed star, supported by a rearing horse to the left and a condor to the right, both crowned. The shield is surmounted by a plumed crest and rests upon a decorative foliate base. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE runs around the upper periphery, with the mint initial S at the lower right. The date, flanked by two small stars, appears in the lower exergual area. |
