The P#18 series spans the final years before Swaziland's note designs were substantially revised in the mid-1990s, and the 2 Emalangeni denomination was always the workhorse of everyday commerce — subject to heavy circulation wear and rarely set aside. De La Rue's contract for Swazi notes during this period was long-standing, and the dual-signature variants here reflect two distinct governorships at the Central Bank, making date-range attribution more meaningful than it might first appear.
Shabangu's tenure brought the second signature pairing. Worn examples vastly outnumber choice survivors.
