Reverse description Two standing allegorical female figures face one another and clasp hands at the center of the field. The figure at left, representing Maiestas (Imperial Majesty), is crowned and draped in regal robes, holding a scepter; the figure at right, representing Iustitia (Justice), carries a sword and scales. The legend MAIESTAS ET IUSTITIA is distributed across the field flanking the figures. In the exergue, the inscription ELECT. D. 24. IAN. records the date of Charles VII's election as Holy Roman Emperor on 24 January, with the year 1742 below.
