Obverse description Right-facing bust of Sigismund II Augustus, King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania, depicted in armor with a decorative collar, his hair rendered in tight curls beneath a small crown or wreath. The effigy is rendered in the Renaissance portrait style characteristic of the Vilnius (Wilno) mint. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust within the coin's field.
