The date 1743 appears flanking the crown above the shield. A continuous legend runs along all eight sides of the octagonal flan, reading: L. AVXILIVM E. BRAV NAV. Z. ANOBIS. S. IM (9. MAY) VF. The inscription references the siege of Braunau am Inn and implores divine assistance. The edge of the flan exhibits a fine milled border characteristic of emergency klippenmünze coinage. |
