Reverse description The Virgin Mary, as Patrona Hungariae, is depicted seated in radiant glory, crowned and glorified, with the Christ Child on her left arm; she holds an orb in her right hand and a scepter in the same right hand. Below the central figural group, the crowned Hungarian coat of arms is displayed within an ornate cartouche. The date appears within the surrounding Latin legend. The reverse composition reflects the strong Marian devotional tradition of the Hungarian Crown, rendered in a Baroque devotional style consistent with Habsburg religious iconography.
