Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Leopold I facing right, with long flowing hair falling to the shoulder and armored chest visible beneath a richly decorated mantle. The portrait is rendered in high relief in the late Baroque style characteristic of the Hall Mint. A beaded inner border frames the design. The Latin legend encircles the effigy, reading LEOPOLDVS D G ROM IMP S A G H B REX, identifying the emperor as Holy Roman Emperor, Archduke, and King of Germany, Hungary, and Bohemia.
