The figure is rendered in high relief in the late Gothic style characteristic of early sixteenth-century Salzburg coinage. The surrounding Latin legend reads ORA PRO ME SANCTE RVDBERTE, invoking the intercession of Saint Rupert, patron saint of Salzburg, and is contained between the beaded border and the square klippe edge. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | Two heraldic shields displayed side by side at the centre of the field: the dexter shield bearing the arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg and the sinister shield bearing the personal arms of Archbishop Leonard von Keutschach, surmounted by a crozier and a sword crossed in saltire. The date 1513 is inscribed below the shields within the beaded inner circle. The surrounding Latin legend, reading LEONARD 9 DE KEWTSCH' ARE' SAL` 1513, identifying the issuing Archbishop, runs between the inner beaded border and the outer beaded border of the klippe flan. |
