Obverse description Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Joseph II facing right, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curled hair and period court dress. The effigy is positioned centrally within the field, with the mint mark 'E' appearing in the lower exergue. The obverse legend, divided on either side of the portrait, reads IOS.II.D.G.R.I.S.A.GER.HIE.REX. in Latin capital letters, denoting his full imperial and royal titles. The portrait displays the characteristic Baroque style of the Habsburg court engravers of the late 18th century.
