Obverse description Draped bust of Bishop Johann Philipp von Lamberg facing right, wearing a richly laced cravat and episcopal robes with elaborate folds rendered in high relief. The hair is long and curled in the fashion of the late 17th century, falling over the shoulders. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading IOANNES PHILIPP D G EP PATAVI, identifying the bishop by name and title as Bishop of Passau by the grace of God. The fine milling of the coin's rim is visible at the periphery.
