The date is divided to either side of the shield in the lower field, with the mint-master's initials MR placed below the escutcheon. The surrounding legend in Latin proclaims the ducal titles of Saxony, Jülich, Cleves, and Berg for the Altenburg line, all enclosed within a beaded inner border. |
