| Obverse description | Draped bust of King Frederik IV facing right, wearing a long flowing allonge wig rendered in fine baroque detail, with armor visible at the truncation. The effigy fills the field with high relief characteristic of early 18th-century Danish gold coinage. A Latin legend runs along the toothed border, interrupted by stops, citing the king's titles. The date appears in the legend at the base of the obverse. |
