附加信息

Frederik III's dual-ducat issues of 1669–70 were struck in Copenhagen for Norwegian account during a politically charged moment: Frederik had declared himself absolute hereditary monarch of Denmark-Norway in 1660, dismantling centuries of aristocratic constitutional limits in a single stroke. These gold pieces belong to that first decade of absolute rule, when the Crown was aggressively projecting financial and symbolic authority through coinage. Norwegian-attributed issues from this reign are genuinely scarce — production was limited and attrition through export and melting was high.

Hede 39 / Fr. 5b is among the rarer Frederik III gold types. Surviving examples in collectible condition are infrequently encountered at auction.
