| Obverse description | Draped and armored bust of King Frederik III facing right, wearing a crown surmounted by a cross and adorned with floral ornaments, his long curly hair falling over his shoulder in the Baroque style. The king is dressed in an elaborately detailed cuirass with a lace cravat visible at the neck. The effigy is rendered in high relief within an inner beaded border. The surrounding legend reads FRID : III : D : G : REX : DAN : NOR : VAN : GOT :, identifying the king as Frederick III by the Grace of God, King of Denmark, Norway, the Wends, and the Goths. |
