| Obverse description | Draped and diademed bust of Elizabeth Henriette, Electress of Brandenburg, facing right, her hair elaborately coiffed and adorned with a pearl-set crown, with a pearl necklace visible at the décolletage. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque style, with richly detailed fur-trimmed robes. The circular legend surrounds the bust, divided by two small five-pointed stars in the upper field. The coin's milled border frames the entire composition. |

The circular legend surrounding the design identifies her as consort of Frederick William, Elector of Brandenburg and born of the House of Hesse, while the arabic numeral date 1683 appears in the lower exergue flanking the skull. |
