Obverse description Draped and armored bust of Frederick Augustus III (Augustus III of Poland) facing right, wearing a large crown over a full curled wig, with elaborate lace cravat and armor visible at the shoulder. The effigy is rendered in high relief in the Baroque style. The circular Latin legend reads D G AGVSTVS III REX POLONIARUM, beginning at the lower left and running clockwise around the portrait. The milled edge border frames the design.
