Obverse description Twelve-line Latin commemorative inscription in the field, reading: IN MEMORIAM ELECTIONIS CAROLI VI. REG: HISP: HUNG: BOH: CIO: IN REG: ROMANORUM FELICITER PERACTAE FRANCO- FURTI. AO. 1711 D. 12. OCT: / I. I. F., recording the election of Charles VI as Holy Roman Emperor at Frankfurt on 12 October 1711. The legends are rendered in a bold serif typeface across the entire flan, with the moneyer's initials I.I.F. at the foot of the inscription. The coin is struck within a plain inner field surrounded by a finely milled border.
