Obverse description Unadorned bust of King Christian V facing right, rendered in high relief with elaborately curled long wig cascading over the shoulders in the late Baroque manner, the king wearing a cuirass with decorative shoulder drapery. The effigy occupies the central field with strong sculptural modelling. The circumferential Latin legend reads CHRIST. V. DEI. GRATIA., punctuated by stops, running from lower left to lower right along the milled border.
