| Additional information |
Liegnitz-Brieg was among the last Silesian duchies to retain a degree of autonomy under Habsburg overlordship, and Christian's tenure as duke — he died in 1672 without a male heir — effectively ended that independence. The duchy reverted to direct Habsburg control immediately upon his death, making this issue one of the final coinages struck under local ducal authority before Silesia was fully absorbed into the Austrian administrative apparatus.
KM#494 is documented across multiple die combinations within the 1666–1672 window. Attribution to specific years within the series often depends on the mintmaster's mark rather than a struck date.
