Obverse description Draped bust of Duke Anthony Ulrich facing right, wearing a voluminous curled allonge wig rendered in fine baroque detail. The effigy fills the majority of the field, with the truncation of the shoulder visible at the lower edge. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading ANTONIUS ULRICUS . D : G : DUX BR : ET LUN :, identifying the ruler by name and title as Duke of Brunswick and Lüneburg by the grace of God. The coin is bordered by a milled edge with an inner toothed ring.
