| 正面描述 | The arms of the Republic of Bern occupy the centre of the field, displaying the characteristic diagonal-striped shield bearing a walking bear, surmounted by a mural crown and flanked by two rampant lions as supporters. Above the shield, crossed fasces and a liberty cap are rendered in high relief, emblematic of republican authority. The entire heraldic composition rests on a decorative baseline. The surrounding legend reads MONETA AUREA REIPUBLICÆ BERNENSIS, disposed in an arc along the upper periphery, separated from the devices by a fine border of reeding. |

| 背面描述 | The reverse features a large ornate Baroque cartouche, elaborately framed by foliate acanthus scrollwork and surmounted by a bearded mask or grotesque head at the apex. Within the cartouche, the four-line Latin devotional inscription BENEDICTUS SIT IEHOVA DEUS is displayed in bold capital letters, separated from the denomination and date below by a horizontal rule. The denomination 2 · DUC · and the date 1771 · appear in the lower portion of the cartouche. The field beyond the cartouche is plain, with the reeded border visible at the periphery. |
