| Beschrijving keerzijde | Full-length figure of Saint Leodegar (Sanctus Leodigarius), patron saint of Lucerne, depicted standing, facing left, nimbed and vested in episcopal mitre and mantle. He raises his right hand in a gesture of benediction while holding his attribute, a hand drill (auger), in his left hand. To the right, the facade of a church is visible, with a small tree in the left field. The composition is characteristic of Swiss baroque hagiographic portraiture on cantonal gold coinage. |
