| Obverse description | Two rampant lions facing inward as supporters flank an ornate oval shield bearing the arms of Zürich — per pale argent and azure — surrounded by decorative laurel branches. The shield is rendered in baroque style with elaborate mantling. The date 16-41 is divided and appears within the legend on either side of the design. The peripheral legend is separated by mullet-shaped stops. |
