The effigy occupies the full height of the field in high relief, rendered in the refined Renaissance style characteristic of early sixteenth-century Italian coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the bust, reading RAND·D·C·C··I·F·PICVSM, an abbreviated titulature identifying the ruler as lord of Mirandola and count of Concordia. |
