Reverse description The quartered Sforza-Visconti coat-of-arms occupies the center of the field, displaying the Imperial eagle and the Visconti biscione (serpent devouring a child) in the four quarters. The shield is surmounted by two crested helmets adorned with elaborate mantling: the dexter helmet bearing a crowned eagle's wing and the sinister helmet featuring a dragon or serpent crest, with a cross pattée appearing above between the two helmets. The heraldic composition is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the Latin legend running around the outer border.
