Obverse description Within a beaded border, the civic arms of Regensburg — two crossed keys in an ornate oval cartouche — occupy the central field. A winged angel bust, serving as a supporter, faces left at the base of the cartouche, with the mintmaster's initials I·B positioned in the exergue below. The encircling legend reads MONETA REIPUBL: RATISPONENSIS, separated by decorative stops.

The portrait is finely engraved in the style of the period, filling the central field with bold artistic presence. The legend CAROL.VII D.G. R.I.S.A. encircles the bust within a beaded border, distributed across the upper and lower periphery of the coin.
