Reverse description Conjoined laureate busts of Emperor Ferdinand III and his consort Empress Eleonora face right in high relief, rendered in the baroque portrait style typical of mid-17th century Imperial coinage. The Emperor is depicted with long flowing hair and laurel wreath, wearing armour and lace collar, while the Empress appears immediately behind him, also laureate. The surrounding Latin legend, separated by ornamental stops, identifies the imperial couple as FERDINAND. III. R. I. S. A. P. F. ET. ELEON. E. C. M. CONIVA. IMP., running along a beaded inner border.
