Obverse description Central field displays the Arms of Guernsey, consisting of a shield bearing three leopards passant guardant arranged vertically on a vertically lined background, surmounted by a sprig of foliage issuing from the top of the shield. The legend GUERNESEY curves along the lower portion of the coin between the shield and the beaded border that encircles the entire design.

Reverse description Plain field bearing the denomination numeral 2 prominently at the top centre of the coin, followed beneath by the legend DOUBLES in capital letters with decorative stops separating each letter, and the date of issue 1929 below that, all in incuse serif lettering. The Heaton Mint mark H appears in small capitals at the lower centre, just above the beaded border that frames the entire reverse.
