| Obverse description | Central device depicting a flowering plant with multiple blossoms and foliage, rendered in fine relief against a flat field, rising from a straight ground line. The plant bears several open flowers and budding blooms, consistent with the Braschi family emblem of Pope Pius VI. The circular Latin legend reads PIVS · VI · PONT · MAX · A · XIII, distributed around the periphery. The date 1787 appears in the lower exergue, flanked by two small stars. The design is enclosed within a finely reeded border. |

| Reverse description | Two large oval shields displayed side by side in the centre of the field, each surmounted by its respective heraldic supporter: the left shield, bearing the arms of Bologna (wavy horizontal lines), is topped by a cardinal's hat with pendant tassels and a cross, while the right shield, bearing the quartered arms of Pope Pius VI (Braschi family), is surmounted by a lion's head. The shields are decorated with baroque scrollwork and foliate ornamentation. The legend BONON · DOCET · arcs across the upper field, and the denomination 2 · DOP · is inscribed in the lower exergue.
