Obverse description The Singapore coat of arms is prominently displayed at the centre of the fan-shaped flan, featuring a shield bearing a crescent moon and five stars, supported by a lion rampant to the left and a tiger rampant to the right, with a ribbon below inscribed MAJULAH SINGAPURA. The national name appears in three scripts arching around the device: SINGAPURA in Latin at the top, சிங்கப்பூர் in Tamil along the left, and 新加坡 in Chinese characters along the right. The year of issue 2016 and the legend SINGAPORE in Latin script appear below the coat of arms in the lower field.
